A Greenwich Village Treasure

Once a year my husband and I travel to New York City for a long weekend.  We both love the sights and sounds and the excitement of being in that fabulous city.  When we were there last year, we were strolling through Greenwich Village and stumbled upon the most fantastic art fair: The Washington Square Outdoor Art Exhibit.

This twice-a-year art fair has booths featuring arts and crafts from artists around the world.  It began in 1931 when struggling artist, Jackson Pollack, took several of his paintings and set them up on the sidewalk outside his Greenwich Village apartment, hoping to earn desperately-needed rent funds.  The rest is, as they say, history.
It was at this Washington Square Outdoor Art Exhibit that I found this beautiful necklace:

Today's Photo-a-Day Challenge prompt: Something You Wore

I {LOVE} {LOVE} {LOVE} flowers and think they're arranged so perfectly in this little glass pendant.  The necklace came from an artist named Susan Manley.  She sells the necklaces on her website as well: Dazzle Studios.  We loved the necklace so much, we bought this one for our daughter:

Every time I wear my necklace, I'm reminded of the fun, relaxing weekend spent with my honey in the city that fascinates us and lures us back every year.  How about you - do you have a favorite piece of jewelry?
