It's funny how different something can look when you look at it from a new perspective. Take my closet, for instance. I went upstairs this morning to take a picture of the inside of my closet for today's photo challenge. The prompt was simply "inside your closet".
Now obviously I see my closet every day, morning and night and probably a few times in between. But when I stood there and got ready to take the picture, I saw it differently.
Knowing that I'd be posting a picture of it here on my blog and posting it on Instagram with the hundreds of thousands of other #FEBphotoaday pictures, I looked at my closet with a more critical eye. And what I saw were sooooooo many pairs of blue jeans!
There are 24 pair hanging in my closet and probably half that more crammed in the armoire. And those are just the ones that fit right now. I love jeans. I {LIVE} in jeans. I'm most comfortable when I'm wearing jeans and a tee shirt. Ahhhhh...even thinking about a good, worn, comfy pair of jeans makes me swoon. :)
And this, of course, brings to mind one of my favorite songs from the 1970s: Forever In Blue Jeans by Neil Diamond. I had an awesome stereo with a turntable and I would put on the 45 and listen to it over and over again.
And if you've never heard the song, take a listen. Even my 12 year old daughter says it's not too bad (and she's a pretty harsh critic of any music her parents like).

If you pardon me, I'd like to say...
we'll do okay forever in blue jeans.
As long as I can have you here with me
I'd much rather be forever in blue jeans
